Halloween, haunted houses, pumpkins patches and other fall festivities make October the most memorable month to visit Kansas City, Missouri.

Fall is gorgeous and October is the best time to view peak fall foliage in KCMO. There are more fountains than any other city in the world except Rome; October is a great time to take a fountain tour.

The combination of fountains and fall foliage make for some truly spectacular photos.

In fact, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks is the J.C. Nichols Memorial Fountain, situated near the Plaza.

If you are a football fan, you’ll quickly realize Kansas City residents take their Chiefs seriously.

The best place to catch a fall game is the Power & Light outdoor venue showcasing the biggest screen outside the stadium.

It’s called the KC Game Day Experience and it’s a great way to meet locals and cheer on the Chiefs!

If you are visiting Kansas City, you can’t leave until you’ve had burnt ends! KCMO is known for it’s award-winning barbeque and you can’t go wrong with Arthur Bryant’s, Joe’s, Jack Stack, or Q39.

Try the ribs, burnt ends, brisket, smoked jalapeno cornbread, and cheesy corn bake.
